Youth Development Support Worker

Full Time - Shift basis

Location - Nottingham

Salary - D.O.E

We are looking for a dedicated children and young peoples support worker.

The children you will be working alongside are unfortunately no longer able to

Live with their parents and or families. YOU will play a vital role in these children’s lives

As they have often experienced childhood trauma, neglect and ongoing emotional or, behavioural

learning difficulties. At times the children and young people, may shows challenging behaviour both

physically and emotionally.

To succeed in this role you will need to be passionate, empathetic and provide high standards of

practice and safeguarding. Ideally you will have experience within a similar role or are able to

demonstrate personal experiences.

This can be a challenging role, however also one of the most rewarding. There is career progression for

the right candidates and we believe in growing and nurturing our employees to also be the best

versions of themselves.

within our care. It is our hope that every child and young person that leaves our care is able to leave

What we are looking for

 

- Be Reliable, Courteous and Committed

- Be confident in using local transport links

- Hold a current UK licence and be a confident driver

- Have a good knowledge of safeguarding children

- Have experience of de-escalation techniques and managing challenging behavioural and emotional

behaviour

- Be able to work as part of a team

- Ideally achieved Level 3 Diploma in children’s residential care diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent

If this qualification is not already obtained, you must be willing to undergo the training with our support.
